Problems and Issues of the past
1) Normal bar code tags are too large as the commodities are physicaly small.
2) On a small tag only a little information can be printed.
3) Data base has to be full of information in the host computer.
Problems and Issues of the past
1) Commodity tags get smaller since the information is condensed in the code.
2) POS terminals can be worked without PLU's (no price reference required). Due to this memory requirments are lower.
3) Source marking commodities can reduce the communication with the host computer to a minimum.
4) Correct commodity-data is stored in the host computer
(For reductions only the source marked commodity is changed.)
